  • Sometimes getting started is the hardest part. Reaching out through our contact form to schedule a call will give you a feel for how Dr. Bowles works and offers the opportunity to answer any questions you have about the process.

  • Dr. Bowles is an out-of-network provider. Depending on your insurance plan, you may receive reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. Dr. Bowles can provide you with an invoice called a Superbill to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

  • Dr. Bowles charges $250 per 50-minute session for individual therapy and $300 per 50-minute session for couples therapy. Longer sessions (i.e. 75 minutes) are prorated accordingly. She reserves a select number of spaces in her practice for sliding scale patients, which may or may not be available at the time of inquiry.

  • Cancellations made 48 hours in advance of a scheduled appointment avoid charge. Cancellations made within 48 hours (two business days) of a scheduled appointment will be subject the the cost of the session. This is an important clinical boundary as your session time has been set aside specifically for you.

  • Dr. Bowles approaches her work with warmth and curiosity to establish a comfortable, collaborative therapeutic relationship. The first five sessions are used to evaluate goodness of fit between therapist and patient. Dr. Bowles highly recommends weekly sessions for at least the first three months of working together to establish rapport and build a strong foundation for ongoing, meaningful work. Patients often calibrate session frequency as needed.
